Pet friendly, with prior approval
Thinking of
visiting The Comox Valley? Many hotels,
motels, bed and breakfasts, resorts and
other lodgings do not accept visitors with
dogs.
We feel
differently.
People who
travel with their pets are some of the
nicest people we have met. We have found,
almost without exception, that pet owners
are considerate and responsible in their
control of their pets. This is a very
dog-friendly community, including many
amenities welcoming your canine friend. You
will be staying just around the corner from
a pet food store. There is a large park
adjacent to us, that even supplies doggie
doo-doo bags. As well, Millard Creek Park,
within a few blocks, does not require
a leash.
Dogs are
permitted in the rental unit, with prior
approval only.
$10/day or $20/day for a large dog per pet applies. An
extra deposit of $150. applies to enable us
to clean, repair damage, or have the unit
professionally treated for fleas, if
needed.

We would love to
have you, but you need to accept our very
strict rules of behavior.
Your master must be
firm about not allowing you on the furniture,
including any human beds. Any evidence of this
happening may incur extra cleaning charges.
You cannot be left
alone, but we know you would rather be out and
about with your human buddies anyway. You may
suggest they bring along one of those cozy
traveling crates for you to sleep in, cause I
know that couch will look comfy at 3 in the
morning.
You are not allowed
to mark your territory, or use for any type of
toileting, our patios and adjacent gardens in
anyway.
No display of bad
habits such as: barking, chewing, digging,
nipping, howling in the condo or out. You will
only be allowed to stay if you follow the rules
and are well socialized with other dogs and
people.
All shots must be up to date, including
rabies.
You
know fleas can be a real bother for us all. To
make everyone happy you must be treated with
Advantage or similar topical flea and tick
repellent three days prior to arrival.
Fleas and ticks are in this area and can cause
harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets. All
items above are the sole responsibility of that
favorite person of yours.
Please show your owners the doggie towels in the
laundry area, for cleaning you up if it has been
raining, or you managed to find that yummy sand
and mud.
You
must be on a leash at all times, while on the
property.
House Rules
The house rules for canines are very strict. If
there is any damage from dogs that have not
obeyed the rules, additional charges against
your stay will be added on. The homeowners
assume no responsibility for illness or injury
that may incur to pets while on the premises.
Comox Valley Vacation Rentals assumes no responsibility or liability if your pet causes
any injury to a person or damage to personal
property. Please let us know if you are wanting
to bring a dog.
